Dr. Joel Westheimer, professor at the University of Ottawa, is believes that policies like No Child Left Behind are, for all intents and purposes, outlawing critical thinking. Westheimer implores educators not to fall into the trap of what he sees as “No Child Left Thinking” and to bring community and critical thinking to today’s students.
